Baltimore Histories is a web project created by Emmanuel Mehr in February 2023. Emmanuel is an independent public historian who specializes in the history of Baltimore City. He received his MA in History from Georgetown University in 2021, and has worked throughout the public history field. The core of Baltimore Histories is Baltimore Histories Weekly, which is a weekly blog/newsletter focusing on a historical story about the city and how it connects to the present. Ultimately, Emmanuel hopes to turn this project into a book. But for now, he hopes you enjoy following along with his exploration of Baltimore Histories.
